Martha Miller Obituary photo052Martha M. Miller, 76, of Huntingburg, died Monday (November 18) at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand. She was born May 9, 1937, in Jasper, to John and Olphia (Krodel) Buchta. She married Daniel “Mack” Miller October 27, 1956.

Martha worked at Gossards in Huntingburg, was a clerk at Voegler’s Hardware Store in Jasper, and was a cafeteria worker for the Southwest Dubois County School Corporation. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Jasper and the V.F.W. Post #2366 Auxiliary.

She is survived by four daughters, Idona and husband Richard Schipp, Paducah, Kentucky; Pam and husband Scott Sickbert, Jasper, Diane and husband Ronnie Cline, Bowling Green, Kentucky; and Kathy and husband David Johanneman, Ferdinand; one sister, Ann Childs, Woodbridge, Virginia; nine grandchildren; seven step-grandchilden; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel “Mack” Miller, who died January 9, 2012; two brothers, Robert Buchta and Clyde Buchta; two sisters, Dorothy Stenftenagel and Louise Keller; and one grandson, Aaron Klem.

Funeral services at 11 a.m. (EST) Saturday at First Presbyterian Church in Jasper with burial following in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Velpen.Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Friday at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg, and from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the church, prior to the funderal. The V.F.W. Post #2366 Ladies Auxiliary will hold a memorial service at 6:30 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
