A LOCAL MOTHER SAYS HER SON AND ANOTHER CHILD WERE ASSAULTED BY SCHOOL BUS DRIVER

SOUTHRIDGE LOGOSouthwest Dubois School Corporation officials say they have received a complaint from the mother of one of two kids she says were assaulted by a corporation school bus driver earlier this week.

The mother is claiming the school bus driver grabbed her son and another child by the hair and yanked their heads back and forth while screaming at them.

Southwest Dubois School Corporation Superintendent Mike Eineman is in meetings in Indianapolis along with the corporation’s transportation director Al Mihajlovits.

Eineman told NewsNow Dubois County by phone this afternoon that the school bus driver in the complaint is not driving his route today, nor did he drive the route yesterday.

Eineman says he has not yet talked with the mother making the complaint. He says he and Mihajlovits will further address the alleged assault before the start of school on Monday.
