Two Teenage Girls Injured When Struck By Car In Huntingburg

Huntingburg police say two girls, ages 17 and 14, were struck by a car early Friday night as the two were trying to cross a very busy U. S. 231 (Main Street) in Huntingburg.

HPD says the girls tried crossing 231 from the CVS Pharmacy to the Huck’s Convenience Store when they were struck by the car.

The car’s driver, 28-year old Chad Goodall of Evansville, did apply his brakes when he did see the two girls cross the road, but he could not avoid striking them.

Both girls were taken to Memorial Hospital in Jasper with possible head injuries.   Huntingburg police have not received information on the condition of either girl.  We do know that lifeflight was called to Memorial immediately after the accident happened which was at about 6p Friday night.
