Jasper Engines To Purchase Michigan Truck Parts Company

WELLER TRUCK

Jasper Engines & Transmissions has announced that it plans to purchase Michigan-based Weller Truck Parts.

In the announcement, John Weller of Weller Truck Parts, and Zach Bawel, president of Jasper Engines & Transmissions say a letter of intent for the purchase has been signed by all parties involved.

Weller will remain an independent company with its products as will Jasper Engines.

Weller Truck Parts was started in 1973 as an expansion of  Weller Auto Parts started by Harry Weller Sr. and his son, Junior, in 1932 in Wyoming, Michigan.

In 1985, the company began focusing on remanufacturing both auto and truck parts.

Today, Weller has 800 associates and 29 production and distribution facilities, remanufacturing a full line of heavy duty transmissions and differentials.

The transaction is expected to close in the spring of next year.

Weller Auto Parts is not part of this transaction and will continue to be wholly-owned by the Weller family.
