Janice Pauckner, 57, Huntingburg

Janice PaucknerJanice Pauckner, 57, of Huntingburg, died Saturday (October 19) at her home. She was born August 16, 1956, in Ferdinand, to Edward and Marcella (Weyer) Pauckner.

Janice was a registered nurse and the intensive care unit at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, The St. Anthony Church Choir, The American Nurses Association, and the Jasper Jaycees. She enjoyed cross stitch, cooking, traveling, spending time with friends and family, and was an avid reader.

She is survived by one daughter, Carrie Holmes and husband Daniel, Huntingburg; one son, Denny Pauckner, Dale; five grandchildren; one sister, Marcella (Sally) Klem and husband Bill, Jasper; and three brothers, Edward Pauckner and wife Sylvia, Indianapolis, Jack Pauckner, Huntingburg, and George Pauckner, Mariah Hill.

She was preceded in death by one granddaughter,  Anna Pauckner.

Funeral services at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Ferdinand, with burial following in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions may be made to the Women’s Center at Memorial Hospital, St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, St. Anthony Catholic Church, or to a favorite charity.
