William David Compton, III, 18, Jasper

Compton editedWilliam David Compton III, 18, of Jasper died Tuesday (October 8) at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville. He was born October 14, 1994, in Jasper to David W. and Jennifer (Saul) Compton.

William attended Greenville High School in Ohio and Northeast Dubois High School. He worked for Farbest Foods, was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Loogootee, enjoyed fishing and hunting, and was a diehard Dallas Cowboys Fan. He played high
school football, baseball, and wrestling and was in the high school choir. He enjoyed movies, music, animals, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his mother and step father, Jennifer Saul-Neukam and Derick Neukam , Jasper; his father and step mother, David W. and Brianne Compton, Oklahoma; one brother, Noah Hawrysz, Oklahoma; grandparents, Carol Saul, Montgomery, Diana and Robin Herwick, Michigan, and Richard and Shirley Neukam, Jasper; great-grandparents, Patrick Colvin, Washington, Betty Colcord, Michigan, and Treva Merrill, Michigan.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John Catholic Church in Loogootee with Father Joseph Erbacher as celebrant. Burial will be at a later date. A sharing time of memories will follow the mass in the St John Center.
