Nancy RauscherNancy Rauscher, 84, of Evansville, formerly of Huntingburg, died Monday (September 9) at her home.            She was born September 11, 1928, in Birdseye to Hilbert and Vivian (Miles) Schnell.

Nancy was a homemaker, a member of Central Christian Church in Huntingburg where she taught Sunday school, a former Cub Scout den leader, sang as a vocalist for funeral services in Birdseye, and enjoyed gardening and working in the yard.

She is survived by her husband, William J. “Bill” Rauscher of Evansville; one son, Bret Rauscher and wife Debi, Evansville; one sister, Pat Mateer, Nashville, Tennessee; and two grandsons, Joshua and Joey Rauscher.

Funeral services at 11 a.m. (EDT) Friday at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial following in Fairmount Cemetery. Rev. Paula Young Mayberry will officiate at the services. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Nass & Son Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the University of Evansville Endowment Fund in memory of Nancy Rauscher.
