Zona Kamman, 90, Huntingburg

Kamman editedZona Kamman, 90, of Huntingburg, died Sunday (August 25) at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. She was born September 12, 1922, in Pike County, to Sam and Emma (Bauermeister) Sollman.

Zona graduated from Stendal High School and married Wilferd Kamman on March 7, 1942, in Kaburn, Indiana. She was a homemaker, an active member of the Zoar United Methodist Church, and enjoyed gardening and quilting.

Surviving are five sons and four daughters-in-law, Jack (Nina) Kamman, Huntingburg, Ron (Anita) Kamman, Terre Haute, Rich Kamman, Terry (Jodi) Kamman, Huntingburg, and Mark (Sherry) Kamman, Huntingburg; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilferd Kamman, who died March 10, 1993. one brother, Perley Sollman, and one sister, Emma Lorton.

Funeral services at 10 a.m. (EDT) Thursday at Zoar United Methodist Church in Zoar with burial following Zoar Cemetery. The Rev. Marianne Hawkins and Rev. Joe Kamman will officiate at the services. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg, and from 9-10 a.m. Thursday at the church.
