Dennis W. Luchini, 70, Jasper

Dennis Luchini editedDennis W. Luchini, 70, of Jasper, died Friday (August 23) at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Evansville. He was born June 23, 1943, in St. Louis to Lawrence and Marie (Rohne) Luchini. He married Linda Crane-Nichol December 6, 1985, in Indianapolis.

Dennis was employed by Houchens Industries in the Jasper office as the Director of Operations/Sales Manager of Produce. He had previously served as Director of Operations for Buehler Foods. Dennis enjoyed spending time with his family. He cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Luchini, Jasper; one son, Dean Lawrence Luchini and spouse Jeanette, Haubstadt; two daughters, Dana Ann Ayers and spouse Jeffrey, Lucerne, Indiana, and Jennifer Lynn Ping and spouse Tim, Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Amanda Sheets, Zachary Ayers, Anna Ayers, and Brandon Ping; one great-granddaughter, Madelyn Sheets; two brothers, Ed Thunehorst and spouse Kathy, Jasper, and John Thunehorst, Missouri; three sisters, Marie Chester, East Peoria, Illinois, Lori Blunk and spouse Keith, East Peoria, and Cheryl Vieyra and spouse Adolph, Vernal, Utah.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Luchini and one sister, Corrine Burchell.

Funeral services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, with burial following in Enlow Cemetery in Jasper. A nephew of Dennis, Benjamin Cobb, will officiate. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel.
