Anna M. Sendelweck, 77, Boone Township

AnnaAnna M. Sendelweck, 77, of Boone Township, died Wednesday (June 26) at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper.

She was born June 5, 1936, in Dubois County to Roy and Lorena (Fuhrman) Freyberger. She married Albert H. Sendelweck on May 31, 1956. He preceded her in death on June 15, 2003.

She was the owner/operator of the Greenwood Acres Ceramic Shop, and previously worked as a cook for the Shamrock restaurant in Ireland.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boone Township, where she had taught Sunday School for 25 years. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed working in her yard and crocheting.

Surviving are one daughter, Cynthia Dumas and her husband Don, Ireland; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Sermersheim, Ireland, and Sandra Lents and her husband Harold “Sonny”, Ireland; one brother, Roy Freyberger, Otwell.

Funeral services will be held at 11 (EST) Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boone Township with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Catherine Burnette will officiate. Friends may call from 2-8 Friday at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, and one hour before services at the church. The Women of the Moose will conduct a memorial service at 6 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church or to a favorite charity. On line condolences may be made at
