Hilda ArensmanHilda Arensman, 98, Evansville, died Sunday (June 23) at Golden Living Center-Brentwood in Evansville.

She was born in Huntingburg on October 20, 1914, to Mathew and Margaret (Schmidt) Oser. She married Louis Arensman on August 29, 1940. He died Novenber 16, 1995.

She was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg and belonged to church’s women’s sodality. She had worked at the Jasper Glove Factory and General Electric, farmed with her husband until 1977, and worked as a housekeeper at various businesses and homes, including Farm Credit Services for more than 40 years.

Surviving are nieces and nephews, including her caregiver, Kelli Hart of Evansville, with whom she lived for 11 years. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Ralph, Walter, Sylvester and Hubert Oser, and two sisters, Dorothy Vogler and Louise Bolin.

Funeral services at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg.
