Dianne WuenschDiane Marie Wuensch, 53, Ferdinand, died Tuesday (June 18) in Loogootee.

She was born in Indianapolis on January 6, 1960, to Thomas L. and Mariann (Bindner) Wuensch. She was a client representative at Southern Hills Counseling Center in Jasper. She was a 1978 graduate of Loogootee High School and a 1982 graduate of Indiana State University Evansville. She was the Martin County probation officer from 1984 to 1991 and then was director of the juvenile shelter in Warsaw. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Loogootee. She was an avid Chicago Bears football fan and enjoyed fishing and boating.
Surviving are her mother and stepfather, Don and Mariann Wininger of Loogootee; three brothers, David Wuensch and wife Sherry of Savannah, Texas, and Lee Wininger and wife Rosie and David Wininger and wife Lori of Loogootee; two sisters, Beth Walenga and husband Nick of Warsaw and Lynn Hartman and husband Gary of Russiaville; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant brother, John Wuensch.
Funeral services at 10 a.m. Monday in St. John Catholic Church, Loogootee. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Brocksmith-Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee. Condolences may be shared at www.brocksmithblakefuneralhomes.com.
