Norman C. Bohnert, 66, Knightstown

norman bohnertNorman C. Bohnert, 66, Knightstown, died Sunday (June 16) in Knightstown.

He was born in Huntingburg on March 5, 1947, to Robert H. and Marjorie (Neuman) Bohnert.

Mr. Bohnert attended St. Meinrad Seminary for three years and graduated from Jasper High School in 1965 and from Indiana University in Bloomington in 1969. He was a State Farm agent for 39 years in the Indianapolis and Cumberland area. He was involved with Memory Gardens Veterans Memorial in Knightstown, Make a Difference Knightstown Inc., and Pheasants Forever.

Surviving are his wife, the former Ruthie Jahn; three sons; Trevor Jahn Bohnert and wife Kathryn of Knightstown, Nathan Bohnert and wife Michelle of Columbia, S.C., and Christopher Bohnert of Greenwood; his, mother, Marjorie Bohnert of Jasper; brother Robert Bohnert and wife Monica of Sparta, Illinois; sister Nancy Smith and husband Michael of San Diego; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Michael Catholic Church, 519 Jefferson Blvd., Greenfield. Burial will be in Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield. A rosary service will be held at 3:30 p.m.
