Urban Paul Kunkler, 85, St. Anthony

KunklerUrban Paul Kunkler, 85, of St. Anthony, died Saturday at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

He was born October 6, 1927, to Edward J. and Selma (Hasenour) Kunkler.

He was a retired farmer, who farmed full time with his brother Kenny. He was an Army veteran who served in the Korean War.He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, and a member of the Jasper class of 1945. He enjoyed farming and spending time with nieces and nephews.

Surviving are two sisters, Ann Laughlin and husband Thomas, Springfield, Illinois, and Mary Elizabeth Gross, Jasper; four brothers, Dr. Arnold Kunkler and wife Barbara, Indianapolis, Edward A. Kunkler, Los Angles, Kenneth B. Kunkler and wife Julie, St. Anthony, Joseph W. Kunkler and wife Rita, St. Anthony; also nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church in St. Anthony, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
