Richard “Dick” L. Pieper, 75, Dubois

Dick PieperRichard “Dick” L. Pieper, 75, of Dubois, passed away at 12:54 p.m. Thursday (April 18) at Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis.

He was born on August 30, 1937, in Dubois , Anthony and Mary (Nordhoff) Pieper. He married Delores (Dolly) Neukam on July 7, 1973, at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Dubois.

Dick retired from Kimball International after 40 years. He was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church in Dubois, was a graduate of the Dubois High School Class of 1955, and a member of the Dubois Community Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and reading.

Surviving are his wife, Dolly Pieper; one son, Jonathan Pieper, Dubois; two brothers, Eugene “Jiggs” Pieper and his wife Betty, Dubois, and Steve Pieper and his wife Cheryl, Jasper; five sisters, Janet Sue Stevens and her husband Perry Dean, West Baden, Carol Ebert and her husband Charles, Dubois, Betty Helming, Celestine,  Rosie Fuhs, Jasper, Barbara Schroeder and husband Donald, Ireland; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Anthony Pieper Jr., and one sister, Mary Margaret Cruz.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at St. Raphael Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Dubois.
