Angela M. “Angie” Weidenbenner, 44, Ireland

Angie WeidenbennerAngela M. “Angie” Weidenbenner, 44, of Ireland, passed away at 1:08 p.m. Tuesday (April 16) at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.

She was born on  May 30, 1968, in Jasper to Kenneth and Anna Mae (Mathies) Schwenk.  She married Steve Weidenbenner on August 20, 1988, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland.

Angie was a homemaker and an employee of Leed’s Selling Tools for over 15 years. She was a member of  St. Mary’s Catholic Church, past treasurer of the St. Ann’s Society, and  member of St. Mary’s CHRP Team #11. A graduate of the Jasper High School Class of 1986, she enjoyed listening to country music and spending time with friends and family.

Surviving are her husband, Steve Weidenbenner, Ireland; three daughters, Rachel, Madison, and Grace Weidenbenner, all at home; her mother,
Anna Mae Schwenk, Ireland; two sisters, Annette Hedinger, and her husband Paul, Jasper, and Alicia Mruthyunjaya, and her husband, Ravi, Penfield, New York; one brother, Dr. Klint Schwenk, Louisville. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth R. Schwenk.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 1-8 p.m. Friday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.  The CHRP women will pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy at 12:45p.m. at the funeral home.
