Marvin SchulzMarvin Schulz, 60, of Celestine, passed away at 3:10 a.m. Friday (April 5) at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.

Marvin was born on December 13, 1952, in Jasper, to Othmar and Clara (Gadlage) Schulz. He  was employed at the Jasper Office Furniture Company (JOFCO) for over 43 years. He was a member of St. Celestine Catholic Church in Celestine. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting,  ginseng hunting , playing cards, and hiking. He was an avid fan of Indiana Universary basketball, St. Louis Cardinals basketball, and Indianapolis Colts football.

Surviving are three sisters, Lu Alice Dilger and husband Chester,  Ferdinand, Patty  Ebenkamp and husband Ronald, Columbus, Indiana, and Sandra Terwiske and husband Tim, Celestine;  three brothers, Ronald Schulz, and wife Jean, Ferdinand, Terry Schulz  and wife Jodi, Seymour, Tennessee, and Robert Schulz and wife Regina, Celestine; and brother-in-laws Jim Vonderheit, Jasper, and Joe Theile, Columbus, Indiana.

Preceding him in death were his Infant daughter, Rachael; two sisters, Judith Vonderheit and Diane Theile; one infant brother,  Tim Schulz, and his twin sister Marilyn, who died at childbirth.

Funeral services  will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday (April 8)  at St. Celestine Catholic Church in Celestine with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
