Diane M. Beckman, 55, St. Anthony

Diane BeckmanDiane M. Beckman, 55, of St. Anthony, passed away at 9:01 a.m. on Monday (April 1) at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

She was born on July 27, 1957, in Jasper to Leroy and Mildred (Eckert) Wehr.  She married Thomas L. Beckman on July 21, 1979, in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper. Diane was a member of the Jasper High School Class of 1977.  She was recently a cook at Northeast Dubois High School until this past year when she began caring for her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Celestine Catholic Church, and the St. Celestine St. Ann’s Society. She enjoyed cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving are her husband, Thomas Beckman, two daughters, Amanda Beyke and her  husband Duane, Celestine, and Lindsay Beckman, St. Anthony; one son, Matthew Beckman and wife Ashley, Celestine; two grandchildren, Makenzie Beyke and Clara Beckman; three sisters, Shirley Fromme, and her husband Bernard, Alice Roush, and her husband George, and Christine Hollinden, and her husband Ed, all of Jasper; three brothers, Larry Wehr, and his wife Bev, Birdseye, Jim Wehr, and his wife Susan, St. Anthony, and Brent Wehr, and his wife Tina, Jasper. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Wehr.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Celestine Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.  The St. Celestine St. Ann’s Society will pray a rosary at 1:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Celestine Catholic Church or to a favorite charity.
