H. Samuel Grabeman, 76, Greenville, Ohio

SamH. Samuel (Sam) Grabeman, 76, of Greenville, Ohio, died at 10:35 a.m. Friday (March 22) in the Rest Haven Nursing Home, Greenville.

He was born in Dubois County on November 8, 1936, to Herbert and Meta (Hoffman) Grabeman. He married Ruth E. Coulson on November 3, 1957. He preceded him in death on June 22, 2010.
Survivors include two sons, Allan Grabeman, Fishers, Indiana, and Daniel Grabeman, Portsmouth, Ohio; one sister, Grace Parmelee, Wilmington, Delaware.; and four grandchildren.
He retired from ABF Trucking of Dayton, Ohio. He also worked for Carl Subler Trucking and Pohl Trucking, both of Versailles, Ohio. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army Military Police Unit, and was a member of the Kentucky Colonels.He was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church of Greenville, the church choir, and had been a member of a barber shop singing group. He and his wife enjoyed traveling, visiting all 50 states and Europe.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. John Lutheran Church, 7814 State Road 121, Greenville, Ohio. Pastor Alan Knoke will officiate. Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Zechar Bailey Funderal Home, Greenville, and after 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorial contributions can be given at St. John Lutheran Church.
